City Flower
On July 30, 2002, the 33rd session of the Standing Committee of the 11th Yiwu People's Congress named the China rose as the city flower of Yiwu upon discussion and decision. As a major growing base, Yiwu has a long history as well as outstanding growing technology of China roses, which are widely planted for they are popular with Chinese people. Beautiful and colorful China roses are blossoming in every season, which marks the prosperous and flourishing development of Yiwu's economic society. Naming China rose as the city flower of Yiwu will help Yiwu people to carry forward the spirits of vigorousness and nisus, and inspire their feelings of loving Yiwu and hometown.

City Tree
On July 30, 2002, the 33rd session of the Standing Committee of the 11th Yiwu People's Congress named the camphor tree as the city tree of Yiwu upon discussion and decision. As a major growing base, Yiwu has camphor trees all over the city with 1 over 1,000-year-old camphor tree, 4 over 800-year-old camphor trees, 103 over 200-year-old camphor trees, and near 1,000 over 100-year-old camphor trees, which is the fragrant and bright scenery characteristic of Yiwu. The majesty and evergreenness of camphor tree symbolizes that everything will go well with flourish and up-growth, thus it is the ideal representative of Yiwu's city tree.
